GIVE- the Green Initiative for Vegetables in Education - has as its primary intention to provide support for school-based vegetable gardens established by volunteers working with students in Stamford schools. It is designed to help make Stamford school children aware of our need to nurture the earth, to experience the growing process from seed to table and to be literally "in touch" with the way our foods are produced. To offer your support,  please contact Pam Sloane, coordinator,  at  psloane22@gmail.com

This year, the Norwalk Neighbors for Environmental Justice (NNEJ) has formed to continue their quest to systematically cleanup a long-ignored section of coastal South Norwalk beginning with a trash and recycling transfer station on Meadow Street.  This neighborhood coalition includes a diversity of citizens from every walk of life who are learning how to engage the government regulatory process in order to create a sustainable model for environmental health.
